Jazz Celula
Biography
Czechoslovak jazz combo. Formed in 1968 in Prague, led by [a=Laco Deczi]. In the 1970s essentially identical to the [a=Czechoslovak Radio Jazz Orchestra] rhythm section and soloists. After a line-up change in the mid-1980s, featuring Deczi’s son [a=Vaico Deczi] on drums, and after Deczi’s immigration to New York, the group evolved to [a=Cellula New York] which is still actively performing as of 2012.

Part of the British soul, funk and jazz dance scene in the 1980s.
Founded [l=BGP Records] with [a=Gilles Peterson] in 1987.
Retired from the music business in the early 1990s when he became a Jehovah's Witness.

Biography
Guinean jazz group that gained fame in the 1960s for their infectious Afropop rhythms. They are considered one of the most significant bands in Guinean music.
Their very first name was [a=Orchestre de Beyla], the area where they come from.
